Rain
Rainy days in Hong Kong have a special place in my heart.
Every street and surface create a reflective surface, and considering how much light sources are there, it looks incredibly beautiful. When rain got very heavy I couldn't miss the chance of capturing candid moments on streets of the city. I love observing people running around, rushing to find a shelter, some just don't care, some people are waiting for it to be over and some are actually enjoying it.
I wanted my images to look as cinematic as possible.
Streets of Hong Kong under the rain is a perfect combination. And all the people are actors, there are thousands of stories happening around, all you need to do is observe, feel and don't miss the moment.

Shadow
Chiaroscuro became one of my favourite techniques to use in photography, especially in street photography.
A dramatic interaction between light, shadow and people is what I love about Hong Kong streets during the day. A strong contrast can create depths and focus on a subject even more.
It is important to allow myself to observe. In Hong Kong during sunny days, due to densely situated tall buildings, the light creates shapes and patters, and they change throughout the day.

Night
When the night falls in Hong Kong, this city turns into something mysterious, almost as magical. The atmosphere on streets of this megapolis is out of this world.
Neon lights, billlions of LED signs, cars, gigantic screens, they all create a spectacle of light.
When capturing night in Hong Kong, I want my viewers to feel like they've been there with me, I want them to hear the image and feel the atmosphere.
Colours play a crutial role in telling a story in my photos. To capture the night I used a drone for some of the images.
